Perceptions of Place
With the aim of taking the viewer beyond traditional photographic boundaries, the ‘Perceptions of Place’ series stretches the limitations of a photographic past and present through a leap of imagination.
Based around memory and displacement, the series takes the viewer through dreamlike landscapes and places, drawing together colliding worlds. Diverse photographic elements, shapes, textures and colors are combined in a painterly manner to create works of many intricate layers, that offer a glimpse into interwoven worlds that are at the same time familiar and fantastical.
